Propose an Exhibition at The Gray Gallery
After submitting the following form, The Gray Gallery staff will review your proposal and contact you in two to three weeks.
Terms & Conditions
SALES OF ART
All sales of art must be processed through The Gray Gallery. 60% of the sale will go to the artists; 40% will go to The Gray Gallery. Gallery work sold must remain on exhibit for the duration of the show and may be picked up by purchasers after the exhibition has closed. The Gray Gallery will mail a check for sold items to each artist within two weeks after the end of the exhibition.
The Gray Gallery will provide serving trays, table linens, dish ware and a portion of the refreshments for the artist reception.
The Gray Gallery will complete professional, quality hanging, art labels, price lists, promotional materials, sales transitions and gallery hours. The curator is expected to provide a press release two months in advance to insure quality publicity materials. If the Artist is not satisfied, it must be in writing and any changes should be agreed upon and made before the opening. The Artist can not make changes or alterations to the exhibition, during the exhibition.
DELIVERY AND PICKUP OF ARTWORK
Curated works must arrive ready to install/ hang. Delivered artwork will be examined by The Gray Gallery staff, if there are any damages the staff will report damages within one week to the artist. The Gray Gallery holds the rights to not exhibit works that are not gallery-ready, that differ significantly from prior images, suffer substandard presentation or are replicas of the original artwork. The Gray Gallery does not pay for shipping, unless prior alternative arrangements have been made. Artwork can not be picked up prior to the closing of the exhibition.
INSURANCE & LIABILITY
Artwork is insured only while on the premises of The Gray Gallery and is covered in accordance with the terms of our insurance policy. Artists’ coverage is limited up to 50% of the fair market value of the artwork. The work must be documented in the "The Gray Gallery Contract" to be eligible for insurance.
AGREEMENT & RELEASE
The Curator confirms he or she has read and agrees to the conditions set forth in this consignment agreement. Permission is granted to The Gray Gallery and gallery visitors to photograph and/or use digital images of works for online catalog, education, documentation or publicity purposes in print, video, electronic or internet formats. The curator hereby releases and discharges representatives, employees and volunteers of The Gray Gallery from any and all claims occasioned by loss or damages of said work while in the possession of The Gray Gallery, except to the extent covered by insurance.
The breaking of any of the outlined terms above warrants an exhibition cancellation by The Gray Gallery and/or the Artist. For cancellations outside of this contract, there must be three month notice.
